Truly a sight for sore eyes

I cannot even begin to relate to you how my whole week has been but I'll give it a go anyway.

So, the eye infection was worse than I thought. I developed corneal ulcer (again!!) on the same eye (right). So, since I've had it before, I knew the drill by hard. Multiple visits to the specialist, sleepless nights, half hourly to hourly eye drops and of course, the horrendous swelling of my good ol' eye. Only this time round I did not get warded as it hasn't reached the super critical stage yet.

So you think there's nothing interesting happening in my life since I'm either at the hospital or home right? WRONG! On Wednesday I finished my appointment early in the morning and as I was walking along the sidewalk from the hospital leading towards the main road, I heard a loud bang.

I looked at the traffic junction ahead of me and saw what appears to be a collision between a bike and a van. Worse part is that I saw the rider being flung in an upwards direction; he flew higher than the van; before taking a hard land on the tarred ground. I wanted to call for help but like 5 of the passerby were already on it. So, not knowing how to react, I continued walking but my eye still glued on the scene.

I saw a young man. Maybe he passed out from the impact. But I wasn't too sure about that when blood started flowing profusely. It formed a pretty large pool of red schtuff. True enough it was too much for my gut and I flee the scene to the nearest bus stop and hopped on the bus (thank God, its the right one).

Unfortunately the bus halted at the signal of the red lights so I stole one shot. Click on it if you want to see larger view. FYI the red lump on the ground, thats him. You see the ambulance, thats where I was standing, on the sidewalk of course.

Scary? Totally! I wished I had stay on and volunteer to be the eye-witness or something but seriously, I couldn't feel my legs and I swore I almost cried. I had no one to run for comfort... yeah, I know right! Below is the newspaper article related to that crash and FYI, only after I read this did I know that he was pronouced dead at the scene itself.
