Someone had requested me to put this up before 2005 ends. Someone had been telling me that I looked different then and now. Then meaning 2002-2003, now meaning present. So I made this collage of me from 2002 to present, arranged in chronoligal order.

    Reflections of 2005
    Thursday, December 29, 200512:35:00 AM 0 commento
Its almost the end of the year and its time I reflect on my life for the whole of this year. I may not be able to recall everything but the more significant ones are still fresh in my mind. Here we go...

On the very first day of 2005, I made a resolution to go for my navel piercing. Been hesitating for months in 2004 and finally I've made up my mind. I remembered those days where I walked past a tattoo parlour checking out the pretty, pretty jewellery. There was also one time where Fahmy held my hand and escorted me to one of the store and I stopped him. I couldn't stop shaking at the thought of going anywhere near the shop. No regrets and the pain was worth it! Till today I grinned when I look down at my "bling bling".

A couple of days later I managed to, for the first time, to have a meal in Little India. For 24 years I've been in Singapore, this day was the very first time I ate there. Good stuff. But nothing so special to me. Probably should have gone to a better stall or something.

19 January, God bless Channel 5 for airing Manhunt! Seriously I've never actually fancied our local channel network but because of that show, I'm glued to the TV set every week same time! I mean, I could imagine reality shows like America's Next Top Model and when I thought if they have a male version of that, it'll be awesome. And my wish was granted!

In March, I finally decided to invest my CPF with a trusted source and I'm so damn glad I did cos' apart from doing "the right thing", they threw in a Creative Muvo MP3 Player... sweet! I am still using it till now and I never left home without it. What a worthy investment!

A month later my usual 'flea market" gang pooled our moolahs together to rent a space and having done it before, we're stronger, more manipulative and we know what sells and what doesn't. As usual we had an awesome time and we get to make a few extra bucks from it. Guys we have to do it again!

Channel 5 made my day again by airing "Joey". He's like my favourite Friends character and they made a sitcom all about him! Dream come true? Hmmm....

There's plenty of first-times in my 2004. Another one has to be my virgin trip to Singapore's very own Snow City. Its not as awesome as I'd expected and yup, I'm never going there again. The place is small and there wasn't much snow to play with. It looks dirty too! I would recommend the one in Genting Highlands, Malaysia. Theirs are top notched! I wouldn't mind going there again if the ticket price will drop by another 10-15%?

My handphone will do this to me almost annually. That's when it struck me that its not worth it to indulge in expensive gadgets. I am breaking my habit of purchasing a Nokia from now on. I settled for a spunky looking Samsung. Plus Starhub gave me a $100 voucher to show their appreciation for my loyalty. I'm waiting for the day they'll give me a $200 voucher! I'm too God damn loyal, Mr Starhub! I really am! Anyway, the phone hasn't been giving me ANY problems till now *cross fingers*. Oh yeah, I named it Paris Hilton cos' I accessorise it with bling-blings. I love it! I love it!

2005 EA Games launched Sims 2! Like its sooooo about time! Grrrr... I bought mine in July and have been happily playing it since. I am back to being addicted to games like this. I can sit in front of my PC from the moment I wake up till late at night without food! That's how much I love this game. Oh yes, I also got a new internet plan and it goes vvvrrrroooommm... 1500kbps! The free goodies were alright... and I'm not paying anything more than my previous 512kbps plan! Nice...

Another bad habit of mine is that I love organising chalets for friends. This year we did again in August. We had a blast! There's plenty of food to go round. There wasn't that much of a crowd but that didn't lapse the fun factor that day. It was a mayhem. Laughters everywhere... Shiny happy people...

Ah yes, I went for more-than-I-expected vacation this year. One of them is to Genting Highlands right smack in the beginning of fasting month, Ramadhan. Its not something I will usually do but the experience rocks! Will I do that again? Hmmm... will consider. right after the trip I repacked my bag for a division retreat @ Shangrila, Sentosa. Awesome place and my boss let us all have a more expensive room. Awesome ain't it?

Just last month, I made history. I did! I spent the most number of days overseas than I ever had in other years, combined! 2 weeks in Thailand had enlightened me on so many different cultures, races, weather and many more. I went places and I pushed myself to a limit that's alien to me. I survived the trip. I'm being a bit of a drama queen here but you would to if you went thru what I did. Seriously... will do that again!

That pretty much sums up my 2005. There will be one more entry like this coming up soon... be prepared...

In the year 2006 I resolve to:

Slap stupid people in the head.

    "Lindsay's in town"
    Wednesday, December 28, 200512:30:00 PM 0 commento
Last night was chaotic! The ladies met up at Billy Bombers, Heeren at staggered timing. Kinda impress that inspite of everyone's "punctuality", we all manage to finish gobbling about the same time. Dinner was great. Everybody, lemme quote Lianne, "under estimated their appetite". And yes, there were plenty of "misused" air-quotes (the one where you made ".." with your fingers). So bad that we started using it in everyone of our sentences. The "laughing" did us all good. It works the tummy muscle, you know.

Appetiser includes bitching about the latecomers, latecomers strolling in unnoticed and stuffing our face with Nachos. Main course was a delightful session of gossiping, more bitching and random "horror" stories.

Click the photo to see the "mayhem" we had last night

Before going home, I walked to SMU with Lianne cos she wanted to pick up her stuff from her locker. It was a good walk plus I get a mini tour of SMU. That place is a "take-student's-money" corporation! I feel sad for the students there. Eventhough its past 11pm, I still see a few of them hanging around there like they've got no life. No puns intended ya Li-En! Hehehe... you HAVE a life... no worries. I might consider playing Warcraft one day... seriously, you do have a life! Hahaha... I'm "kidding".

Damn, the unnecessary quoting has to end! Somebody "STOP" me!

    Hey what a weekend!
    Tuesday, December 27, 200510:20:00 AM 0 commento
Since Christmas Eve's not a working day, everybody started to get in the spirit on Friday (23 Dec). I was greeted in the morning with presents on my desk! It really made my day. So suprising that some of the gifts came from someone I least expected. In a panic mode, I started shopping for presents for them during lunchtime. I took 2 hours! Hehe... no one cared if I'm back late cos' we're all in the holiday mood already. Hehe...

Met my baby on Christmas day. What better thing can I ask for on Christmas than to be with my love ones! We went to Raffles Place hoping to get to have dinner at Carl's Jr but its close. Not too sure if its because of Christmas or they dun operate on a non working day (since its in a business district and all). Disappointed, we walked around looking for a place to eat and settled for Burger King.

After dinner we went to our very first dating point somewhere in Boat Quay. Spent the whole night there. I had so much fun. Its been a long time since we met so that night meant a lot to me.

The office is sooooo darn quiet today. I think only 30% of us are here. Most of them went on vacation and clearing their off days. Lucky biatches! Looking forward to have a nice coffee/dinner with my other baby, Li Shan! Hehehe...

    HER

You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones.
You are negative, fearful, resistant, doubtful, and/or selfish.
You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
You are self-confident and like to bring attention to yourself.

    Ministry of Suckers!
    Saturday, December 17, 200511:48:00 PM 0 commento
Siti got an sms invite to attend Ministry of Sound's grand opening last night. We reached Clarke Quay around 9 and we cut queued my colleague who were there earlier. We stood in the queue fore 1.5 hours and the queue hadn't seem to move much!

So pissed I dragged my tired ass out of the queue and head to Gotham. I've heard so much about it and I thought there's no harm trying it tonight. Friday Night is Vodkalicious Night. Free flow of Smirnoff for ladies till 1am. Good stuff. Had a little too much in there, stumbled out of the club frantically for 'fresh air'. Oh yeah, one of the bouncer is a guy I've had a crush on for years. Can't talk to him... dun think he remembers me...

I got the guy from Singnet to come to my place to fix the modem problem. Turns out the problem wasn't anywhere in my home. Its somewhere in the main controls and he had spent more than an hour fixing the mess! Well... good news everyone, you will not see me in and out and in again whether in MSN, mIRC or whatsoever... I'm "healed"!

I do not like it when people throw up on me.

5 DON'TS when you are sleeping
    Thursday, December 15, 200511:46:00 AM 0 commento
    1) DON'T SLEEP WITH WATCH
Watches can emit a certain level of radioactivity. Though small, but if you wear your watch to bed for a long time, it might have adverse effectson your health.

    2) DON'T SLEEP WITH BRA
Scientists in America have discovered those that wear bras for more than 12 hours have a higher risk of getting breast cancer. So go to bed without it.

    3) DON'T SLEEP WITH PHONE
Putting the phone beside your bed or anywhere near you is not encouraged. Though some of us will use phones as alarm clocks, but please put the phone as far as possible. Scientists have proved that electrical items including mobile phone and television sets emit magnetic waves when used. These waves can cause disruptions to our nervous system. Therefore if you need to put your mobile phone near you, switch it off first.

    4) DON'T SLEEP WITH MAKE-UP
People who sleep with make up might have skin problems in the long run. Sleeping with make up will cause the skin to have difficulty in breathing and problem in perspiring. You will also need a much longer time to go into deep sleep.

    5) DON'T SLEEP WITH OTHERS' WIFE/HUSBAND
You may never wake up again.

    About my lunch hour
    Tuesday, December 13, 200511:33:00 AM 0 commento
Yup, saved moolah today. There's suppose to be a workshop in the morning and it was cancelled. Unfortunately they didn't have time to cancel the food for tea breaks. So I am one happy camper in the office.

Cam whoring had begun but strangely I didn't have that much of a mood to play around with it. I took these a few days back just to test its indoor shot capability.

Yup you can see my messy bed in the background. Hey, this is the real thing! The REAL world! Haha...

Went to Suntec City Carrefour at 1pm and start stocking up office snacks, toiletries and stuff like that. I spent $38 just like that! Oh, don't forget the free show! Cute ain't they?

What to do... can't afford the mother of Ixus, I settled for the daughter. Meet my Ixus i5. I have not given it a name yet. Lemme think... hmmm... I shall call it Fida Junior! Haha...

I have 2 weddings and a housewarming to attend this Sunday. Wish me luck cos they're all over Singapore. Yishun, Bedok and Jurong West NTI!

*Bimbo Mode ON* Can't type too much cos' I just painted my nails and it's still not fully dried yet. Scared ah! Wait must repaint how? *Bimbo Mode OFF*

Hehe, met Rizal for lunch and we shared a plate of Indian Fried noodle. Actually I ate most of it cos he's on a 'diet'. He will say that he's full/not hungry but true fact is that he wants to shed a few more kilos and declare himself a hunk. *PFFFT* You'll disappear if you don't eat like you do last time OK!

Head up to town and start my long awaited/deserved shopping spree. CK Tang is the place to go in December. Especially if you wanna buy perfume, here's a hint. Always show them the sad face like this :( hinting to them that their packages are not attractive enuff. Watch them whip out miniatures after miniatures!

MAC was too crowded today. No salesgirl were available to entertain me. I don't like being un-entertained in MAC. That's the place I would go to get, sort of, free beauty tips. MAC staff know their product and they know their customers very well! I LIKE! End up I have to self-entertain and its way too awkward! MAC! Hire more staff please! Its the holiday season! Come on...

Electronics hunters I would recommend you to head to Lucky Plaza and take your time to find that perfect digital camera. Ask the salesman lots of question to find out the genuinity of the product. I almost got ripped off with one who doesn't provide any waranty. I had a feeling its a stolen good! Haha... you will be surprise at how much of a bargain you can get there!

Yes, the cam whore is back! I'm fully armed with a Canon Ixus i5 now so be afraid... be very very afraid...

Today marks the very first time I went to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Gardens. I have no f**king idea that's its a hawker center! I think its the chinese's version of haven as how the Malays feel about Beach Road. Yeah... something like that. The food doesn't sucks but its something new for my half Malay, quarter indian and quarter javanese tongue... oh well.

Baby, I love you! I Love you! I love you!

    Good morning....
    Monday, December 05, 200511:09:00 AM 0 commento
Its a Monday... yes... the dreaded day of the week. I'm back in the office after 2 days absence plus the weekend and I feel rejuvenated (ya rite!). I'm free from the "Avian Bird Flu" but I'm still coughing a lil' and straining my voice is a no-no yet. When I visited the clinic, my doctor was sneezing like crazy. Her nose was all red and dripping. I felt like running out of the room at such a sight but I can't. I need the "holidays". After she cleared her nose she told me that she's allergic to the aircon there. Ermm... I'm sure there are cure/prevention for allergies and a doctor would have known that, right?

I stayed home for 4 days, enduring the horrible drilling noises in my house. Yes, we're going thru some upgrading works in my HOUSE! Its over now and I thought I could sleep in peace until my grandma screamed for me from the kitchen asking me to mop the floor. I checked the time and its only 8.30am! Like F**K! I need my beauty sleep! I feel unpretty right now *sob*.

Anyway, its a brand new week and 7 days more to go before I get my hands on my year long awaited BONUS! Grrr... it better be good this year or I'll eat grass again. Well, I hope this month I'm able to eat Grade A grass ;P
