Exactly a year since my last post. Yes, what was I thinking right? Obviously I wasn't and I don't feel like it. This blog will be probably end up with all my verbal diarrhea like when I feel like logging in to Blogger.

A lot of things had happened to me since my last post, a year ago. Yes I like to rub it in my face over and over again. I will post the stories in time... but not now.

I have no clue if anyone is still reading my blog and I bet the most popular reason for losing my readers is because of no or little updates from me. I apologize and I feel really bad to be paying money to have this website untouched *LOL*

I've been very very very busy at work. New environment, new workflow, new people and whatnots. Actually if you were to look at my Twitter bar on your left, I am VERY actively tweeting! My bad... I find tweeting much much more convenient at the moment. Most of the people I know, at work especially, are constantly updated with my daily ramblings. Maybe everyone should catch me on Twitter.

I just got my period today after 2 days of breastache (is there such a word?) and major craving for anything sweet. No sign of the dreaded cramps yet but still too soon to say. Ok... maybe this whole para is TMI but heck I feel like telling you anyways~

Just as I was typing this entry I got a call from a telemarketer offering me free 1 day service of selected spa treatment. I never heard of the spa before (not that I am well-versed in that area *shrugs*) and I also nicely told her to give my spot to other people who might be interested. I believe her last words were... ".. so you're not interested?". Again, I said yes politely and you won't believe what she did next. That bitch hung up on me without saying goodbye. I'm glad the conversation ended but the stoopid spa is not being well represented by rude bitches like that!

So... good news! Sims 3 finally coming soon on June 2nd. I took leave just to attend the launch! I should have taken the whole week off to play it!

Speaking of not-working, I still have like 7 days left to clear by end August. That's like in 2 months and I don't think I will be going for a vacation during that period. Maybe I should? Long weekend break in August? Hmmm... decisions, decisions...

Ok enuff words for this entry... I will update more cos' blogging my passion... I will keep telling myself that.

I started the year welcoming the most awaited baby girl, KEISHA, spawn of my bestest friend, on 4 Jan. Its almost a year since she's born and I have met her like 4 times. Just as often as I met the parent before she came into this world. *LOL* Words can't describe how estatic I was to hold her in my arms. Felt a lil' weird too cos' one of us are having one of those, you know?


I got me a HOLGA 120N - like FINALLY! Hahaha... got it from an LJ spree at quite a bargain. Clifford got it too and we went out almost immediately to deflower the toy with our first roll ever. Never been happier with the result. I turned into an addict for a while... well, at least mine lasted longer than his :)

I had attended the grandest wedding of a colleague who's with child :P. I'm awed by the bling factor in the ballroom and the food ain't that fantastic. In fact the whole thing would have blow if not for the wonderful companion I had.

I got my uber famous corneal ulcer AGAIN right on the day that only exist once only 4 years! It was a traumatising experience for me this time as on my usual trips to the eye doctor I witnessed a fatal bike accident till now is still fresh on my mind. It freaks me out whenever I'm bypassing that stretch of road. Likely to say, I'm gonna be avoiding that road for the rest of my life!

I went on 2 may-jah trip to Perhentian, Malaysia and Khao Lak, Thailand. Didn't waste that much of money but they're both an experience I will never forget; good or bad :) Would I wanna go to these places again? Maybe, sure? Hmm... I'll think about it... I sure do miss island life :(


I had one hell of a TV Schedule that doesn't involve me switching on the television *oops*. Awesome new shows like Privileged, 90210, Valentine and I do hope there's more to come cos' right now it's pretty "off-peak" with the good shows.

I got my long awaited promotion but that didn't last very long, thanks to the merger of my company and the parent company, I got 'demoted' but I get to retain my paycheck and past benefits... *roll eyes*. It was a testing period for me and my colleagues. I wasn't the only one who was affected. I had fun while I was taking on the new role - as stressful as it may be, I had never felt more satisfied with my work and performance!

2008 was the year I observe the most contagious virus spreading through the inter-web that is FACEBOOK. No one goes a day without logging in and playing at least 1 game in there. FACEBOOK is the best thing since MySpace. Speaking of which, any idea why MySpace account is in Espanyol?

1 word - SINGFEST. Painful but worth every sweat tears and blood :)

We had our first Dinner & Dance at Raffles Country Club combined with the parent company. So it was uber crowded but we manage to have some fun of our own. Everyone dress their best and I spent most of my time bear the bar, for obvious reasons. The food was so-so and the crowd was dizzying. I hung around people I'm familiar with, I'm comfortable with... those who cared for me... *LOL* WTF!

I drank a lot in 2008. For the good times and the bad times they say?


I had a couple of photography outings with the colleagues and I've never seen better photos of me like ever!


Most important of all that happened in 2008 is that I wasn't as religious in updating my blog as I would like to. So... here's to a brand new year, a brand new start in 2009... CHEERS!

I may be having a hangover right now but I am not taking back my words. I hate petty, calculative people... especially at work! If you're a friend outside of work, I can easily say adios. But if you're a part of my working team, its fucking hard to avoid your immature pettiness! Fuck you're a man for goodness sake!

If you can't find something that you're looking for (a piece of paper from many months ago), dun accuse me that I do not want to give it to you just cos I said I do not know where it is! I fucking honestly do not know where your paper is!

What makes you think if I have food on my table, you automatically deserve to share with me but if its on yours, I am not entitled to have a piece without fulfiling some cheapass condition of yours? Fuck you!

Did you know this guy rather I test the strength of my bladder cos he thinks its ok to not allow me to pee in his toilet (home)? I had to travel, in a bus, for a good 40minutes to reach home to pee, godamnit!

Actually I don't mind you doing all this to me, but fucking don't embarass me infront of those I care about and don't treat them like you were to treat me! Not everyone has high level of tolerance as I do, DICKWART!

You're 3 episode short of ending season 1. I'm veeeeeryyyyy sure you're not cutting it short! The show rocks! I cannot have enough of the Darlings.

Just 7 episodes?? Are you freakin' kidding me??

Lipstick Jungle
Another good drama that'll end with only 7 episodes. I admit the concept is a lot similar to Cashmere Mafia, but the world could use more of these kind of shows!

Ugly Betty
The magical date will be on April 24th.

Entourage
This show has taken too long of a break it scares me on whether it'll come back or not at all. They went through a rough first season, but as it goes on it has gotten a lot stronger! After 4 seasons, I was gasping for more but that last said episode aired in Feb 2007! It's been more than a year! Wassup with that? I miss my Turtle :(

Gossip Girl
I'm pretty sure the show won't 'xoxo' on me yet cos' it has gotten such tremendous feedback. I'd say the show is really fresh and it may seem a little OC but with a dash of glam and me. Blogging, gossips, socialites, relationships, scandals... ain't it entertaining or what? F-I-E-R-C-E!

Heroes
This show took it bad pre-strike when they start rushing through the episode like a dick they all were! So I hope they will take time to rethink the plot a little and blow me away with Volume three which i think will air in September *cross fingers*.

Well, if you had forgotten, I had scrapped the idea of having resolutions since last year. Mainly due to the fact that I never fulfiled them and I tend to not care about them at all.

But I did mention I wanted to pick up a new skill. Well...

1. I can play a full song on my crummy ol' guitar
2. I CAN make cupcakes, they're edible alright!
3. Workwise, I did pick up a couple of new, useful skills *YAY*

So let's do a brief rekept for 2007. Honestly speaking, I've been very brief on my entries for this whole year. Sadly, my camera did not get that much abused from me this year.

I guess I did tried to do better in life and work. I remember having all this self-realisation, self-discover shitzz for a couple of months. I blame it on my quarter life crisis. For once I notice how much I've grown and I've also realised how precious time is.

Charly, the french fry, came down to Singapore again for his internship. I wished I had spent more time with him but I didn't. He was here for like 6mths and I met him like 2-3 times? pathetic eh? But that's more frequent than I meet my own folks, so...

Lindsay came and I met up with her for that one day... just one day! I will do better for your 2008 trip, I promise!

I met so many new people... like SO MANY! I made myself sit down and listen to them to really get to know them better before passing off judgement. Yeah, a whole different Fida coming your way. I'm still the same person really, just takes a much longer time to unleash the negativity now. Haha!

Am I happier now? I guess you can say so. But deep inside there's a tinge of sadness in me for the fact that I wish I could meet up with my present, long-time-no-see friends again to catch up on old times. Just having you in my phonebook is not enough... unless I've chosen to avoid you already? Muahaha!

Let's talk about vacations. I went to Phuket, Bangkok, Bintan and JB. That's like using my passport for 4 times! Like woah~ This has to be some kind of a record! Usually I travel like twice max.

Pricely possession of this year includes:

1. Nintendo DS-Lite (pimped out version)
2. Nokia E65

That's it? Wow! I guess I didn't spend as much as I used to! But then again, I made up for that in the travelling department.

I almost lost my PC but a good friend told me he'll fix it at no cost... just a Burger King meal! That was a close call but I'm glad he manage to salvage everything back. I have no clue what I'll do if I loose all the data inside! I should now consider investing in a Hard Disk Drive to backup all my data!

I did blogathon again this year and once again, I fell asleep for a bit. It was a lot more organised this year as I've had previous experiences. Haha. I didn't raise that much money but I'm glad I did my part to help the less fortunate. Should I look forward to Blogathon 2008? Meh... we'll see about that. It kinda gets a tad too old... we need fresh ideas people!

As I mentioned I won't be setting resolutions but on the other hand, I started new projects/hobbies.

1. I Must Do This Daily - Project 365 Blog (Where I post a picture once a day from my mobile phone)
   
2. Roll - Lomo/Holga blog (Yes I will be a proud owner of a Holga in a week's time. In the meantime I'll stick to my Action Sampler)

These are just the few I'm starting. I hope to keep myself more occupied in 2008 with all these projects, new and present, in hand. At the same time it gets my creative juice running... some of you may have noticed I've not designed my own template for a while.

So what's gonna happen in 2008? Settle down? Hmmm....

You know sometimes how we yearn to have gazillion of friends? Not you? Hoe-well... Let's just say when you're 14 or 17, you've got plenty but now you've got just a handful or none at all. Would you be ok with it? Or would you feel rejected somehow? How many of us actually keep in touch with all these people in your phonebook you call friends?

Exactly...

Me, on the other hand, do not wish to celebrate my 50th birthday in a chalet full of aging friends, or put a massive pressure on my offsprings to book a bigger venue to have my funeral as our house is gonna be like too small to hold all of them.

With my current situation now, I feel priviledged to be able to sit down and rethink about all the people I've met, hung out with, schmooze... haha. How many actually deserve my friendship?

Ok, a lil' disclaimer here: I may or may not be talking about you but please stop thinking its you cos' it may or may not be you.

So right now, I'm putting additional effort to weed out the bad and hopefully retain the good. I've mostly been weeding... so if you feel like you've been weeded by me, please proceed to the door with the 'EXIT' sign and don't come back.

Another thing I'm puzzled is that these people kept telling me I've not been 'around' cos' I've got a boyfriend. Bitch puh-leeze! I've been around and about... just without you! Hahaha!

Don't judge me... I'm happy.

Sidenote: Congrats Germaine & Alan, I love your wedding although I came drenched and I'm sure it's not part of the dresscode but I dunch care cos' I love you and I'm very happy your wedding's a success so it's time for your horny-moon and please come back with your egg/s fertilized... LOL!

Note to self: Don't ever think of planning a wedding on a beautiful beach during monsoon season.

My home PC's feeling the drag of becoming a year older just like myself. It turns 5 recently and it turns its back against me for some reason. I was left PC-less for like 3 days and I almost went mad! I took it all on my Nintendo DS Lite with all my might. Over 3 days I had to recharge the bugger like 4 times *LOL*.

Many many thank you-s to a certain someone who helped me fix this bloody piece of metal box at no cost. Well, I did treat him dinner though, Burger King, all time favorite junkfood. I'd have no idea why got into me when I mass texted everyone I know who knows anyone who's able to fix stuff at low cost but at extreme speed.

I am not ignoring my blog... I'm ignoring my PC altogether. My heart stopped beating whenever my PC just shuts down on its own. I know its been a long 5 years since I made it slave for me, but it shouldn't be that bad of a problem. I believe a wee bit of maintenance is all it takes to restore to its glorious state. You think?

Anyways, my birthday just past; I'd like to thank each and everyone of you who has poured your well-wishes, gifts (on facebook or real ones) and spent time to celebrate the day I love and loathe the most!

I was trying not to be late for work the other day so I took a cab. Lucky for me to part with my S$8 since it started pouring halfway through the journey. About 5 minutes away from my office building the driver let out a silent killer gas. He didn't say a word, I didn't say a word... the whole cab started to smell! I should have rolled down the window. He should have apologise. He should have rolled down his side of the window. Just 400 metres away and I would be free but I couldn't take it anymore and made him stop.

If you were in my shoe (or in that cab) what would you have done without sounding rude?

What is wrong with her VMA performance here. Lets evaluate shall we...

1. not singing, she did not lipsync well either!

5. not very nice for a mother of 2 to be wearing something like that
6. she look like a dead fish on stage
7. she did not impress the audience at all
8. unflattering exposure of post maternity figure (I wouldn't say she's fat but you know...)

This is not the Britney we all know. Let me let you refer to her past performance here and tell Brit-Brit... what happened to you? I can imagine the performance to be a big bomb if I were to remove YOU from the stage and let your awesome dancers do all the magic. I know a lot had happened in your absence from the industry...

3. got divorce
4. got Paris Hilton to be your BFF
5. got bad pictures across all media
6. lost all the important people necessary for her career

My advice... DO IT RIGHT OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL. Anyone, and I mean anyone, could have matched your quality standard that night and many would do it for free. You're losing your fans slowly by the minute, honey!

I took morning off with a colleague to make full use of our dental benefit worth S$120. We made appointment on the same day but I got the 9am slot while she's like half and hr after me. Pretty odd since I'm horrible at waking up THAT early but I manage to reach the clinic around 8.42am (yup, I memorised the time from my receipt). Despite my applaudable effort to be there on bloody time, I was made to wait for more than 45mins. Yes, I bumped into my colleague who came about 10mins earlier before her appointment. I was furious but then again, who's ever excited to sit in the dentist chair anyway?

The 'drilling' session was alright I guess. I got nagged for not making it a point to visit the dentist annually. My last visit was in Aug 05 because of an unfortunate swimming session that resulted in a semi-shattered tooth. Don't wanna talk about it. I can still feel the pain, in my pocket.

Anyway, the dentist told me I got a minor gingivitis, or something like that. But you have to agree, it has a pretty cute name. I could name my new mobile phone that! Its just plaque (a.k.a. tartar) built up near to the gums resulting from little or no brushing. Usually will affect the hard to reach places at the back. So the dentist went on to teach me the proper way to clean the unreachable areas.

Dentist: Point your brush 45 degrees so that it's able to touch all the way to the back. Don't brush, but just jiggle, jiggle, jiggle...

I think a better solution will be to get those really long and thin toothbrushes. Someone need to invent some if there isn't any in the market! No one ever thought me to jiggle my brush against my tooth! It used to be up-down motion and recently on the Ellen Show, they thought us to brush in circular motion and now I learnt how to jiggle with my toothbrush! Lesson learnt... cost me S$103.80! Yup, just for consultation and scaling. Who says I avoid making annual appointments cos' I'm afraid of the dentist?

Just 48hrs ago I was cracking my brain to dish another 6-7 more entries before I could finally go to sleep. Now... 2 days later, its like a bad withdrawal symptom. I think I want more of such events. Even if its not for charity but for pure fun and joy, I don't really mind. I can say blogging is my passion, even if I have nothing to blog about! The only thing that can come between me and my blog is lethargy.

Surprise, surprise I did not hibernate right after. I watched TV, eat like a normal person and slept at normal hours. I woke up exactly 8hrs later like normal adult would and led a normal life like nothing had happened. I wasn't even tired. I wish work could be like that... maybe there will be jobs one day paying what I'm earning right now in near future. Hmm...

Rant:
I was at M1 shop yesterday and was comparing mobile phone prices between M1 and Starhub via their wireless notebook terminal nearby. I was barely there for a minute and this fella stood next to me started opening his mouth...

Him: Excuse me, I WANT to use this terminal!
Me: I just got here. Can't you WAIT?

I thought he'll run away and cry but his stubborn ass stood right next to me, eye-ing whatever I'm doing, not budging away. He thought that'll make me give up but knowing myself, I made him wait even longer! Muahaha!

Your people always tell us Islam is peace but actions speak louder than words. All we see from Islams actions is hate and murder. No one ever even once said they were sorry about what those 19 people did in the name of Islam. All we hear is "they were not true Muslims". Then we hear "Bush", "oil", "Christians", "Hitler" the "Crusades".

why won't the 'good' muslims stand up and denounce the bad ones? why won't the good ones say 'ok, that enough!' and tell the extremist to leave? why won't the good ones explain why they come to this country and allow the bad ones to kill, mock, spit on or burn our flag, talk negatively of our country ... that they chose to live in????

a muslim is more likely to listen to their own, rather than someone that they hate! ya think?! but we will never know, since most muslims are too cowardly to stand up for what is right. as or the quran not saying anything about killing people.. I beg to differ, have you NOT read your own holy book? there are MANY passages that leads one to believe that allah is telling them to go to war with anyone who doesn't believe EXACTLY as they believe!

Why bother? *shrugs*
