Its Monday and I'm back from my "vacation". Not very happy and not very comfortable. The drugs I got from the doctor sorta caused some gastritis effect and I'm in pain right now. Left me no choice cos' I need those pills to prevent me from suffering the immense pain my ear caused. It used to be on the left side and now its on my right. Bloody hell! What did I do wrong? Is sleeping on my sides caused my ear to swell? Hmm...
Anyway I believed in making my "vacation" a fun one. Although I cannot really go out cos' I looked like shit when I'm "sick", so I stayed home and invented my own version of fun.
The Buried Secret of M. Night Shyamalan This movie is directed by Nathaniel Kahn, took us through the "documented" journey of Night's past. I quote from
IMD, "This entire film was a mocumentary that was advertised as an unauthorized bio of reclusive director M. Night Shyamalan. After going so far as Shyamalan reporting to the press that he was upset about the release of this film, many fans and journalists became upset when they later learned it was all a hoax. The Sci-fi channel released an apology a few days before release for their campaign strategies." I believed this flick was a true story but on second thought, it could be another Blair Witch thingy. Most of the cast play as themselves. Johnny Depp's in there for God knows why!
Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen A teenage girl is convinced that her home city revolves around her until her family packs up and moves to the suburbs, where she finds herself competing for attention. I don't really like Lindsay's acting here but Adam Garcia's in it! Hehehe... Adam plays the lead singer in the band "Sidarthur". Weird band I hafta say and he's drunk pretty much throughout his appearance and sober towards the end. I prefer his role in Coyote Ugly :(
This movie was launched somewhere or near to Lindsay's other movie, "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday". She was on a roll there and at the period we thought we had too much of her. She should have given it a rest. But that doesn't mean she could take a long break and record an album! Gee-whiz! Can't stand her!
Feeling Minnesota A lot of people say this movie is too much like that of "Fargo". Not that I have seen it but hell, it was alright to me. Cameron Diaz was forced to marry this scum bag cos she stole like ten grand from that crook. On her wedding that Keanu came, since he's the brother of that scumbag. Cameron fell for Keanu (for obvious reason) and they tried escaping but that scumbag always manage to keep up with them. Its a messy movie, that's all I can say. Not fantastic, but bearable to watch till the end. Oh by the way, Feeling Minnesota's title was inspired by some lyrics in the Soundgarden song 'Outshined': "I just looked in the mirror/And things ain't looking so good/I'm looking California/And feeling Minnesota". Not that I've heard the song or anything... that's why it all worked out for me.
Cheaper by the Dozen I love this movie and I cannot wait for HBO to play the sequel! Lindsay's rival played one of the dozen's and yes, Tom Welling is in it too *droooool*. The father, Steve Martin had to handle his 12 kids all by himself when the wifey had to travel the country to promote her book "Cheaper By The Dozen". If you think Lynette Scavo (from Desperate Housewives) is a hero in this field, wait till you watch this!
You might find one of his daughter looking a wee bit too familiar.
Alyson Stoner, who played Sarah Baker, is actually one of Eminem's dancer in the video Just Lose It and 3 more times in Missy Elliot's videos! She was also doing some dancing bits in the "Suite Life of Zack & Cody" (you may not have seen this if you don't have Disney Chanel). She's so adorable and of course, a child prodigy, IMHO. She's the next big thing, people!
D2: The Mighty Ducks I'm a fan of those ducks! I can never get enuff of 'em. This sequel to me has better cast. There's
Scott Whyte (the hottie from the Iceland team) and
Mike Vitar (played Luis Mendoza, the speedy gonzalez)!
So let me tell you more about these 2 hotties. Why? Cos I feel like it!
They both came back in the Mighty Duck sequel, D3. Funny thing is that while Mike played the same role as he did in D2, Scott however, played this guy named Scott, an American. He's no longer played an Icelander! Hehe...
